Oh I love this Alia! I love clouds and will one day become a member of the Cloud Appreciation Society! https://cloudappreciationsociety.org/ You’ve animated clouds beautifully here. Thank you
Oh there's a society! I'm sure it has a of members.
Thank you, Dianne. Clouds sure are amazing. I recently saw a giant, perfectly shaped rectangle cloud rising up just above the horizon near Mildura. It looked like it was patching up the sky.
Oh I love that image - sacred geometry at play? One of my magical sightings of a cloud was one of a dog jumping around playfully. Shortly after marvelling at this image I got a message from my friend to say that her dog had just passed away - so I relayed to her what I saw. Thanks Alia 💭
Thank you Kate, we're fine, everyone here is pretty sure that particular local is long gone from our immediate area, probably deep into the remote parts of the Alpine National Park south west of here, or smuggled out by someone up the back of Buffalo. The hardest part is trying to explain it to the little kids, with lockdowns at the daycare, police everywhere in town, helicopters overhead. It's a lot for a little person.
Wonderful as always. Let’s choose what happens next and not have this chose for us.
As for clouds, being a lover of those silent oceans floating by, I’ve think I’ve noticed that they’ve ever so slightly expanded their repertoire with the atmospheric warming. I think I can see new varieties, subtle new formations and I suppose they would change accordingly. Anyone else seen this?
What a great observation. That would make a lot of sense, Jonathan. I haven't noticed this near me but I do notice the difference in clouds that form over the ocean or desert and the way the clouds behave here among the mountains. As weather patterns shift, sea temperatures warm and pressure systems get pushed all over the place, it makes sense that cloud forms would start to change accordingly.
And your thoughts Alia are shared with us as softly as the clouds. Some dark skies now but as Tom E. Lewis sings, ‘there is always sunshine after rain’.
This was so lovely and thoughtful, like a poem in audio and prose about something we so often take for granted. Just last week they said on a Fort Erie radio station that the average cloud weighs 500,000 kilograms or 1.1 million pounds. I think that living remotely as you do has sharpened your innate powers of observation and appreciation to a very high degree. Would that we all might respect and give thanks for the three forms that water can take on all around us, often all simultaneously. Water IS life, after a fashion, and I thank you for another delicious Mind Flex!
Thank you, Rafael. That's a great fact about the weight of clouds. How amazing. I'd never thought of it like that, but I've always been acutely aware on long distance hikes that every litre of water I carry is roughly an extra is 1kg of weight, so it makes perfect sense. Water is heavy. And clouds are HUGE!

it's a terrifying event for your little ones, and very hard to explain. Take care and I hope it is all over very soon for you. Stay strong
